“Secrets of the Adepts Workshop,” a brief immersion into the treasure trove of
wisdom teachings from ancient Egypt. Come to the Workshop to learn how to
supercharge your meditation practice
and let go of old ways of being and doing. Come to the Workshop to
cleanse your mind and body of negative thoughts, feelings and strong emotions
with the “Cleanse Mind and Body imaginization”. Come to
the Workshop to rejuvenate your source of loving energy with the “Living
in Truth imaginization”. But, most of all, come to the “Secrets of the
Adepts Workshop” to help us birth a new ethic, a stronger sense of community,
and a heartfelt desire for a new world grounded in the kind of love -- compassion,
kindness, caring, sharing -- that we all want to receive and so desperately
need to give to each other.
Cosmic
harmony was the model for earthly harmony in the Egyptian Temple as exemplified
by the famous axiom “As Above, So Below”. Intellectual life was part of the
spiritual life; mental life was a reflection of the divine; and all of the
sciences were incorporated into the highest exaltation of knowledge, the Law of
One. This holistic philosophy accounted for the variety, complexity, and
multiplicity of life, but never implied separation; unity was always present.
To acquire knowledge was to observe the divine at work; all branches of
learning were divine; everything everywhere was interconnected and One.
The
average person today, unfortunately, is completely unaware of the sacred wisdom
of Egypt and archeologists do not understand its true
meaning. The Egyptians knew a lot about their world and beyond and possessed
secret knowledge about enlightenment and immortality. However, that secret knowledge was made available only to a select few individuals who passed seven
progressively more difficult initiations and achieved a new birth, a beginning over again, a turning
away forever from past habits, past ideals, and past actions.

The
highpoint of the 3,000 year old Egyptian culture occurred during a seventeen
year period towards the end of the 18th Dynasty. Pharaoh Akhenaten dreamed of a
world where everyone lived in peace, were equal under the law, and freely
offered service to one another and to their country. Akhenaten was a man with a
mission; of rare intelligence and deep perception, with great sensitivity and a
gift for words, and possessing an intense desire for universal peace and
understanding. His aim was to purify a way of life he believed had strayed far
from its true course through practice of a spiritual philosophy he called
"Ankh en Maat" or "Living in Truth", echoes of which
birthed Christianity, Judaism, and Islam over a thousand years after his time.
Akhenaten'spersonal truth was that all things are One, that all beings are One, and that
there can be no polarity, no right or wrong, no disharmony in the One. His gift
to all mankind was a spiritual practice he called Living in Truth which
encompasses a deeper understanding of the evolution of life and the meaning of
the Law of One.
