    I was absolutely blown away when I played this course this weekend. The conditioning is incredible, but the layout is mind-blowing. Be sure to play from the back or second-to-back tees on 14 for a tremendous par-3 over water that can stand against the second hole at Medinah any day. Course could have used a few more dramatic elevation changes, but since the architect was likely handed a flat meadow, the rolling sculpted fairways, especially on early holes, are wondrous.

    I grew up half a mile from Barron's; the store has helped define my childhood. It is tremendously fitting to have a street nearby named after the store and its founder!
