The items were reported missing on Jan. 10, but are believed to have been taken some time in 2012.
A resident from the 800 block of South Washington Street in Hinsdale reported on Jan. 10 that five silver place settings worth a combined $14,400 went missing from her home some time between Jan. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2012, according to the Hinsdale Police Department. Though the circumstances might suggest the offense is connected to the crimes of Kenneth Jackson, a convicted thief who's been charged twice with burglary in Burr Ridge since October, Deputy Chief Mark Wodka said there's no evidence supporting that at this time. Jackson, a 53-year-old Oak Lawn resident, was arrested near the intersection of Elm and 57th streets in Hinsdale last October and charged with a burglary that took place May 22 in the 0-10 block of Shiloh Court in …

Kenneth Jackson, who's been charged with two Burr Ridge burglaries in the last year, and his uncle were suspected in 19 North Shore burglaries that took place during the two years prior to the pair's arrest in 2009.
Kenneth Jackson was charged with residential burglary in Burr Ridge last week for the second time since October. As Sergeant Marc Loftus of the Burr Ridge Police Department noted, it's only the latest chapter in a long criminal history for the 53-year-old Oak Lawn resident. "He's prolific," said Loftus, who provided links to news stories from 2009. Jackson, then 50 years old, and his then 75-year-old uncle, William Jackson, of the 1200 block of McDaniels Avenue, Highland Park, were each charged in 2009 with three felony counts of residential burglary, six felony counts of possession of burglary tools, and one felony count of possession of stolen property after they were suspected in 19 North Shore burglaries, the Highland Park News …

"Jackson was under surveillance as a possible suspect in earlier burglaries," Burr Ridge Deputy Chief Tim Vaclav said in an email Monday. A warranted search of Jackson’s home Saturday night turned up evidence from a May 22 burglary in the 0-10 block of Shiloh Court, where a money …
