Burr Ridge police reports, April 29-May 1
WEDNESDAY, MAY 1 Police charged Jimmy Klimunda, 18, of the 8900 block of Grant, Brookfield, and Stevan Glodic, 19, of the 5700 block of South Kensington, Countryside, with unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Klimunda and Glodic were arrested at 7:04 p.m. after police stopped a suspicious vehicle on the 7400 block of Arbor, police said. MONDAY, APRIL 29 Burr Ridge police assisted Illinois State Police at 1:06 a.m. with two people who were charged with underage drinking and possession of cannabis on Route 83 at I-55. Patrick Kanaverskis, 23, of the 6300 block of Briar Road, Willowbrook, was charged with possession of cannabis. FRIDAY, MARCH 29 Someone at 9:50 p.m. reported a suspicious person walking a leash without a dog on the 100 block of Tower Drive. Upon arrival, police saw a male place a dog into his vehicle. There was no criminal activity, police said. A driver was cited for failure to yield after a two-car crash at 9:22 p.m. at County Line and Plainfield roads. The driver was behind the wheel of a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker when it struck a 2011 Nissan Rogue while turning eastbound on Plainfield from County Line, according to police. Eric Schmidt, 21 of the 3900 block of Gladys, Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, police said. Schmidt was arrested at 6:44 p.m. at Route 83 and 91st Street. SUNDAY, DEC. 2 Ewa Strzalinski, 51, of the 8300 block of West 99th Street, Palos Hills, was arrested after the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 83 and Bluff Road at 1:39 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test, police said. TUESDAY, NOV. 20 Thomas Lagor, 23, of the 700 block of West Wilson Lane, Hinsdale, was cited with a local ordinance violation for possession of cannabis after the smell of burnt cannabis was detected in his vehicle during a speeding stop near the intersection of 55th Street and Clarendon Hills Road at 10:17 p.m., and police said the drug was found in his possession. Police said Lagor was charged with speeding, as well. He was released to appear in court. Shutack, 60, of the 300 block of west 59th Street, Hinsdale, was stopped by Burr Ridge Police near the intersection of County Line and Plainfield roads at 4:43 p.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license after officers said he was involved in an earlier hit-and-run accident in Hinsdale. At around 8:06 p.m. on March 29, Burr Ridge Police pulled over a car at the intersection of South Frontage Road and 83rd Street for a traffic violation. At that time, the officer detected the odor of cannabis coming from the car, and the investigations resulted in the arrest of the car's driver and passenger. Tushun Robinson, 20, of 8707 W. 86th Place in Justice and Bradley Spicer, 19 of 8301 88th Avenue in Justice were both charged with possession of cannabis under 30 grams.
