Police Investigate Break-In at Villa Taj
According to the police report, someone forced the gate open.
At around 7:35 a.m. on Monday, Burr Ridge Police discovered that someone had forced the gate open at the Villa Taj on County Line Road and also forced open a rear door to the house. According to Deputy Chief Tim Vaclav, the officer searched the premises at 6501 County Line Road and found "no evidence of interior damage, theft or criminal activity." The 45,000-square-foot mansion at Plainfield and County Line Roads has never been lived in. The home, which contains a 2,500 square feet master bedroom suite, conservatory, ballroom, library and 20-car garage was once listed at $26 million.
