Soaring Eagle Academy Takes Students With Autism to New Heights
The autism academy, which hosted an open house Saturday, opened in Burr Ridge in September of 2010 with only five students and has since grown to more than 30.
Since 1987, Deanna Tyrpak has worked with special needs children to evaluate and treat speech and language disorders. Tyrpak's own 20-year-old daughter has autism, which is what inspired Tyrpak to open a school in Burr Ridge specifically to meet the needs of students with autism spectrum disorders. “[Dominique] took me on this journey ...
