Devils Take Another Step to Silver Title

The Hinsdale Central girls gymnastics team celebrate Senior Night with a key conference dual victory over fellow state power, Glenbard West.

The group of athletes and parents honored by the Hinsdale Central girls gymnastics team Monday on Senior Night looked as large as the number of spectators in the bleachers applauding them. This class of 12 seniors is among the program’s largest ever. “To be honest, I don’t know how it happened, how we got so many seniors,” Hinsdale Central senior Leah Tarabour said. “Most of the seniors, since they started as freshmen and had club experience, it wasn’t like they were just starting out. Everyone knew that they liked gymnastics, kept with it. Everyone from (junior varsity) II though varsity, knew how to commit to the sport.” The seniors have enjoyed plenty of accomplishments, including trips to the state meet the past two seasons. Lyons Dismantles Reavis 7-1 on Homecoming Senior Night

The victory brings Lyons to 12-1-2.

After a dramatic victory over Hinsdale Central High School earlier this week, the Lyons Township High School soccer team made their Homecoming Senior Night memorable Friday evening, leveling off Reavis High School, 7-1. The Lions improved to 12-1-2 after the match—held at Bennet Field, LT's football home ground—which was a triumph not to be soon forgotten. "The atmosphere was amazing for senior night," said starting goalkeeper Kevin Beglen. "It was great to see a huge crowd come out and support us. To win on senior night when I'm a senior is a great feeling."
