Safety Day in Photos
The Pleasantview Fire Protection District put on quite a show Saturday during Safety Day.
Families from Burr Ridge, Indian Head Park, LaGrange Highlands and surrounding communities came out to the Pleasantview Fire Protection District headquaters Saturday to learn fire safety tips and see Pleasantview's firefighters demonstrate their skills. Fire engine rides were a big hit with kids of all sizes as was Icha, the 5-year-old Belgium Malinois police dog. The day also included a live burn and the safety trailer where children and adults learned how to protect themselves in the event of a fire. Pleasantview's District Headquarters are located at 1970 Plainfield Rd. and they operate three stations in the area.
