Patron Threatens Employee When Asked to Leave: Police Blotter

Burr Ridge police reports, May 2-3

FRIDAY, MAY 3 An employee asked a person who was illegally parked in a private lot of a business to leave on the 15W400 block of 59th Street. The person threatened the employee and left the scene at 3:41 p.m. without further incident. The employee wanted to document the incident. A piece of lawn care equipment was found at 2:37 a.m. in the roadway on the first block of Rucci Court. The equipment was secured until the owners' return. THURSDAY, MAY 2 A juvenile left the Interventions treatment center without permission, police said. The juvenile was found at 9:56 p.m. and turned over to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. THURSDAY, APRIL 25 A resident on the 500 block of Briarwood Drive received an e-mail from a credit card company about recent transactions and a password change. The resident contacted the company immediately, stating he or she did not make the purchases. The company is not holding the cardholder liable for the transactions, police said. Someone used a resident's credit card from the first block of Old Mill Lane to place several orders in excess of $1,500. The credit card company is not holding the cardholder liable for the fraudulent purchases, police said. An employee of a local business reported at 12:37 p.m. that his or her 2008 Lexus was keyed while parked in a lot on the 1300 block of Burr Ridge Pk Parkway. No evidence was found at …

Burr Ridge police reports, March 28

THURSDAY, MARCH 28 A suspicious vehicle was reported at 8:16 p.m. on the 100 block of Kraml Drive. Police found the vehicle unoccupied and searched the area for the owner. Dispatch called the registered owner to have the vehicle removed. Some people were going through scrap materials on the 8400 block of Walredon Avenue at 5:15 p.m. An officer warned them to obtain a permit if they wanted to continue. A resident at 3:54 p.m. reported that someone used his or her debit card to make purchases totaling over $200. The incident is under investigation. Several employees at 2:17 p.m. were involved in a verbal dispute on the 7700 block of Grant Street. Management stated they were aware of the situation and working with the employees. No complaints…

Friday, Feb. 22 A social security number from a resident in the 7200 block of Commonwealth Avenue was used to buy cell phones, police said. After the identity theft was reported around 7:52 a.m., the victim was credited and didn’t suffer any monetary loss. Someone opened a Victoria Secret’s credit card in the name of a resident from the 100 block of Ashton block and used it to charge about $750, police said. The case, which was reported around 10:55 a.m., is pending investigation. MONDAY, JAN. 7 Javier Guardado, 24, of the 1400 block of South 50th Court, Cicero, was charged with attempted financial identity theft after police say he tried to fraudulently use the Social Security number of a victim from the 7000 block of High Grove Boulevard. MONDAY, NOV. 26 A complainant from the 6700 block of Fieldstone Drive reported at 4:55 p.m. that a credit card had been fraudulently opened in his name. There was no dollar loss suffered, police said, and the case is pending investigation. SATURDAY, NOV. 24 A shopper at White House Black Market, 575 Village Center Drive, was viewed stuffing sweaters under her dress at 3:30 p.m., police said. Man Flees Police After Spare Tires Stolen: Police Blotter

TUESDAY, NOV. 13 It was reported at 6:08 p.m. that someone had removed all four hubcaps from an SUV parked in a lot in the 1300 block of Burr Ridge Parkway sometime that day.  Police said each hubcap was worth approximately $100.  MONDAY, NOV. 12 A man refused to stop for police after fleeing the scene of an apparent theft in a parking lot near the intersection of County Line Road and Interstate 55. Police said an officer had spotted a suspicious man who appeared to be committing a theft in the parking lot at around 11:59 p.m. As the officer approached, the man got into a Ford pickup truck and drove off, refusing to stop for the officer as he exited onto I-55. TUESDAY, OCT. 30 A resident of the 10 block of Todor Court reported at 1:38 p.m. an unauthorized withdrawal from a line of credit. Police did not say how much the withdrawal was for. An investigation is pending. MONDAY, OCT. 29 An unoccupied semi-tractor was found near the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and 83rd Street at 11:56 a.m. Police said they discovered the truck had been stolen from an owner in Chicago, to whom it was returned.
