George Hood is doing well and scheduled to break Guinness World Record on Sunday at Burr Ridge's Urban Tri Gear.

"Just 49 hours to go," said Hood, who has been riding for over 151 hours. Hood is scheduled to break the current record of 200 hours Sunday night. Click here for a previous Patch article on Hood. Urban Tri Gear will raise money for the Gunnar Hotchkin Fund and host George Hood's re-attempt to break the Guinness World Record.
Before Gunnar Hotchkin was deployed to Afghanistan, he told his best friend Preston Bokos to look after his three kids. Bokos, owner of Burr Ridge's Urban Tri Gear, is fulfilling his friend's wishes. He has teamed up with three-time Guinness World Record breaker George Hood to raise money for the Gunnar Hotchkin Memorial Fund. Beginning Saturday, Oct. 23, Hood will make Urban Tri Gear his home-base and attempt to break the GWR for longest ride on a stationary bike. They are using Hood's attempt as a means to raise money for the fund, which will help defray education costs for Hotchkin's young children. "I'm …
