Forest Park police reports said the men just purchased needles from Walgreens.
Three men were charged with heroin possession May 2 in the Forest Park Walgreens parking lot after buying needles in the store. Mazvydas Deltuva, 21, of Willowbrook; Rame Gjukaj, 22, of Westmont; and Matthew W. Vanek, 23, of Hinsdale, were all charged with possession of a controlled substance. A patron came into Walgreens, 7200 Roosevelt Rd. in Forest Park, and told the manager that there appeared to be people doing drugs in a car in the parking lot. When police arrived, the men in the car made "furtive movements," and one passenger exited the car. Police found an aluminum can on the ground as well as a baggie of suspect heroin. Police searched the car and found another baggie with heroin residue, as well as a pack of hypodermic needles…

Two women were charged with heroin possession in Burr Ridge after police found them with the drug during a Jan. 22 traffic stop near the intersection of Madison and 87th Street, according to a Burr Ridge Police Department release sent out Wednesday afternoon. Marie F. Kucera, 22, of the 0-10 block of Bay Rum Court, Burr Ridge, and Ashley M. Barta, 23, of the 600 block of Sheffield Lane, Bolingbrook, were each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Officers found small packages containing heroin and needles used to inject the drug on them during a traffic stop at 5:19 p.m. The two were passengers in a vehicle police stopped for failure to signal. Burr Ridge police reports, Dec. 12-18.
SUNDAY, DEC. 16 Steve Jacobson, 29, of the 9600 block of Merton Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road, police said. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of 72nd Street and Central Avenue at 2:59 a.m., police said. Jacobson was released to appear in court. Alexis Martinez, 18, of the 6200 block of Tripp Avenue, Chicago, was charged with DUI and improper turning, police said. She appeared to be under the influence of drugs during a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 83 and I-55 at 8:53 p.m., police said.
