OMG PD: Tear Up the Town, Laundry Money

Here's a round-up of recent, bizarre police report items from the area.

ST. CHARLES Jason A. Gatewood, 38, of the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, was cited at 5:47 p.m. April 14 at 48 N. 12th St., with disorderly conduct. Police received a report from that address that Gatewood was intoxicated and destroying property at a neighboring home. He was issued a notice to appear in court on June 20. DOWNERS GROVE A school resource officer and the Dean of Students at Downers Grove South High School spoke to a student at about 7:40 a.m. about an iPhone theft from the day before. "(The student) advised that he placed the phone on the shelf of the locker to change, and then turned away from his locker for only a minute and when he looked back, he noticed that his phone was missing," the officer said in his report. …

Teen Sets Off Smoke Bomb During Football Game: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, Oct. 23-29.

FRIDAY, OCT. 26 Liam J. Sorensen, 18, of the 100 block of south East Avenue, Oak Park, was charged with disorderly conduct and illegal consumption of alcohol at 10 p.m., police said. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol when he was found with a smoke bomb similar to one set off underneath the home bleachers at Hinsdale Central’s Dickinson Field during Friday night’s playoff football game against Oak Park-River Forest, police said. Sorensen admitted to setting off the smoke bomb. He was released to appear in court. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24 Dan M. Letizia, 19, of the 200 block of Holmes Avenue, Clarendon Hills, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped while …
