MONDAY, MAY 6 Glenn Lange, of the 16w300 block of 94th Place, Burr Ridge, came to the Burr Ridge police station, 7700 South County Line Road, at 10:30 a.m. to renew his sex offender registration. Burr Ridge has a relatively small amount of registered sex offenders, compared to other Chicago-area suburbs. The driver of a 2002 Pontiac was cited at 1:30 a.m. for one tail light and for driving while license expired at Route 83 and Honeysuckle Rose, police said. SUNDAY, MAY 5 Eric Hagan, 53, of the 9800 block of South Maryland Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 8:54 p.m on County Line Road at I-55. He was charged with driving while license suspended and taken in on an warrant arrest out of Alexander County. Hagan could not post bond, so he was …

Driver Crashes Into Front of Life Time Fitness: Police Blotter

Burr Ridge police reports, May 3

The driver of a 1999 Audi crashed into the front of the Burr Ridge Life Time Fitness earlier this month, police said. The 71-year-old driver was attempting to leave when the Audi suddenly accelerated from a parked position, according to a police report. The incident occurred at 9:19 a.m. May 3 at the fitness facility, located on the 600 block of Burr Ridge Parkway. The Audi had to be towed from the scene, but there were no injuries reported. Life Time Fitness did not immediately provide police with a damage estimate. The police report for this incident also did not indicate whether the business had to temporarily close as a result of the incident. Nearby Hinsdale had three incidents of cars hitting buildings over a period of five weeks …

Patron Threatens Employee When Asked to Leave: Police Blotter

FRIDAY, MAY 3 An employee asked a person who was illegally parked in a private lot of a business to leave on the 15W400 block of 59th Street. The person threatened the employee and left the scene at 3:41 p.m. without further incident. The employee wanted to document the incident. A piece of lawn care equipment was found at 2:37 a.m. in the roadway on the first block of Rucci Court. The equipment was secured until the owners' return. THURSDAY, MAY 2 A juvenile left the Interventions treatment center without permission, police said. The juvenile was found at 9:56 p.m. and turned over to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. MONDAY, APRIL 29 A resident wanted police to check his or her home because of a phone call received at work regarding delivery of a package. The person was not expecting anything and became suspicious, police said. Officers at 9:50 a.m. checked the home on 94th Place and found no signs of criminal activity. SUNDAY, APRIL 28 A housekeeping employee at 1:08 p.m. was bitten by the registered guests’ dog when entering a room to clean on the 15W300 block of Frontage Road. The employee was treated and released by Hinsdale Hospital, police said. WEDNESDAY, MAY 1 Police charged Jimmy Klimunda, 18, of the 8900 block of Grant, Brookfield, and Stevan Glodic, 19, of the 5700 block of South Kensington, Countryside, with unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Klimunda and Glodic were arrested at 7:04 p.m. after police stopped a suspicious vehicle on the 7400 block of Arbor, police said. MONDAY, APRIL 29 Burr Ridge police assisted Illinois State Police at 1:06 a.m. with two people who were charged with underage drinking and possession of cannabis on Route 83 at I-55. Patrick Kanaverskis, 23, of the 6300 block of Briar Road, Willowbrook, was charged with possession of cannabis. FRIDAY, APRIL 26 A resident on the 15W300 block of 81st Street at 5:07 p.m. said a neighbor has been complaining to the Homeowners Association about her door decorations. The decorations are not illegal, according to the association's bylaws. A description of the decorations was not provided in the report. A resident on the 6100 block of Garfield Avenue received "inappropriate" text messages from an unknown number, according to police. An officer called the number at 4:34 p.m. and advised a male juvenile who answered to stop. The juvenile said "he was just joking and would stop sending the messages," according to a report. THURSDAY, APRIL 25 A resident on the 500 block of Briarwood Drive received an e-mail from a credit card company about recent transactions and a password change. The resident contacted the company immediately, stating he or she did not make the purchases. The company is not holding the cardholder liable for the transactions, police said. Someone used a resident's credit card from the first block of Old Mill Lane to place several orders in excess of $1,500. The credit card company is not holding the cardholder liable for the fraudulent purchases, police said.
