PHOTOS: Burr Ridge Homes Decked for the Holidays

Patch is running a contest to benefit local school districts, and one lucky home in Burr Ridge might win $100,000 for being the best decked house in the village.

Around Burr Ridge, homes are decorated for the season. On Glenmora, one lovely home has wrapped its columns in red lights. A home off 87th Street has red and green lights casting a cheery glow on its facade and several of the photos in this gallery are from a home that faces County Line Road. The property for this home is so large that it is difficult to capture all its decorations in a single photo. Do you have a terrific display that we missed? If so, you still have a chance to win $100,000 for one of Burr Ridge's public school districts and $500 toward your electric bill. But don't hesitate, because the deadline is Dec. 26. Deck Your House and Win $100,000 for Burr Ridge Public Schools

Get out the lights and holly. Your decorating could net $100,000 to our schools.

Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached. Here’s how the contest works. Beginning today and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site. During that same time period you and your neighbors will also be able to vote for your favorite festive home. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge that will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill. UPDATED: $30,000 Reward Offered For Information Leading To Teen's Killer

Three anonymous donors have stepped forward to offer a reward for any information that might help police catch the person who murdered Kelli O'Laughlin.

The Chicago Tribune is now reporting that two more anonymous donors have stepped up, making the total reward amount for information leading to Kelli O'Laughlin's killer $30,000. Originally published Oct. 29, 2:08 p.m.: An anonymous donor is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that might help police catch the person who killed 14-year-old Kelli O'Laughlin in her home Thursday, FOX Chicago reports. According to the report, the donor does not even live in Indian Head Park. He told police he's just a father who has the means and would like to help solve the case and catch O'Laughlin's killer. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the police or dial 911.
