Spring Fair, Rummage Sale Raises Money for Church and Cancer Research
The Burr Ridge United Church of Christ spring fair and rummage sale brought a nice turnout Saturday.
It was a hot day for the 20th annual spring fair and rummage sale at the Saturday. Temps got up near 90 degrees, but that didn't stop folks from coming out to hunt for bargains and support a good cause.
The event is the church's largest fundraiser of the year. This year the church also collected free will donations for the American Cancer Society's Relay for life.
Final numbers for the amount raised are not in yet, but organizers tell us the event raises about $10,000 every year.
