Hinsdale Central junior Erin Morgan competed on the balance beam in the
girls gymnastics state meet event finals Saturday at Palatine High
School.
Morgan's 9.45 earned fourth place and an all-state, top-five medal after her 9.275 in Friday's preliminaries was the ninth-highest score among the 10 qualifiers.
Morgan is now the seventh all-stater in program history and joins older sister Colleen, who was second on the uneven parallel bars as a junior at the 2008 state meet.
