Olympic Trials Qualifier Danny Thomson to Swim Monday in Omaha

The recently graduated Red Devil will compete in the 400-meter freestyle prelims Monday and the 1,500-meter freestyle prelims Sunday.

Danny Thomson, who recently graduated from  after a record-setting IHSA State Meet in February, swims Monday in the 400-meter freestyle preliminaries at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Omaha.

Thomson, who will swim next year at Stanford, enters the trials seeded 46th out of 136 400-free competitors with a qualifying time of 3:56.44.

The 18-year-old is scheduled to compete in the 1,500-meter freestyle prelims on Sunday. He is the No. 20 in that 96-swimmer event and his qualifying time for the 1,500-free was 15:28.65.
