Football: Hinsdale South's Season Ends With Loss to Oak Forest

Oak Forest's running game proved to be too much for the Hornets in their first-round playoff exit.

Oak Forest outgained Hinsdale South 364 yards to 93 during a 29-0 win over the Hornets in the first round of the 6A playoffs Friday night, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Hinsdale South had just four first downs. Running back Arian Toney had 44 yards on 14 carries and quarterback D.J. Deolitsis finished with 36 yards on 7-of-15 passing.

Oak Forest got 106 yards rushing yards from Ben Santiago and 113 from Tyler Usterbowski. The Sun-Times reported that only 20 of Oak Forest's yards were gained through the air.

“We lost to a quality football team tonight,” Hinsdale South coach Mike Barry said.

The Hornets finished the 2012 season with a 6-4 record.
