Pleasantdale Honors Students, Teachers

Recognition event held Wednesday night

The Pleasantdale School Board recognized Technology Specialists Judith Stevens and John McAtee during its meeting Wednesday night “for going above and beyond the call of duty” to implement the Skyward Software system districtwide.

Superintendent Mark Fredisdorf said the task involved a tremendous amount of work that began last summer to implement the new system.

“And there are two people who are central to the success of that, who have worked tirelessly  a lot of overtime hours. It’s not been an easy process, but because of their hard work it’s gone quite well,” Fredisdorf said.

The two were presented with certificates by Board member Gina Scaletta-Nelson for their efforts.

“You’ve done a tremendous job,” Fredisdorf told them.

Also Wednesday, the girls 8th grade basketball team from Pleasantdale Middle School was recognized for winning its conference championship this year.

Board member Beth Tegtmeier, whose daughters are on the team, presented each girl with a certificate.

“I’m really excited and happy for them,” Tegtmeier said. “And they were just a fantastic group of girls.”
