Kimberly Maloney to Join Hinsdale South as Athletic Director

Maloney will replace Timothy Feigh, who will be retiring in July.

The school board has appointed Kimberly Maloney as 's Athletic Director for the 2012-13 school year. The announcement was made at Monday night's school board meeting.

Maloney replaces Timothy Feigh, who will be retiring in July. Feigh's retirement was announced in February of 2009.

Maloney earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from DePaul University and her Master’s degree in Administration from Aurora University. She holds teaching endorsements in English, Sociology, Physical Education and Drivers’ Education.

Maloney comes to Hinsdale South with 17 years experience as an educator.

Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal of Gregory Middle School in the Indian Prairie School District. She has held the positions of Dean of Students, English, Physical Education and Drivers Education Teacher and has coached softball, volleyball and basketball.

She completed an administrative internship as an athletic director, was the head advisor for the student council, and has been a member of several committees, including school discipline, PSAE improvement, curriculum, and the State of Illinois School Improvement Plan. She was also a 4-year scholarship athlete in softball and volleyball during her time at DePaul University.

“Ms. Maloney brings a diverse set of experiences as a teacher, coach, and educational leader to the Hinsdale South community," said Dr. Brian Waterman, Hinsdale South principal in announcing Maloney's appointment. "We are excited about the leadership she will provide as we look to build upon the success and traditions that have been established in the Hornet Athletic Program.”
