Hinsdale South Speech Team Finishes Seventh at Regionals

The Speech Team finished 7th overall at the IHSA Regionals held at Downers Grove North High School on Feb. 4.

Students left the school at 6:30 a.m. and arrived back at the school at 6:30 p.m.. After a long and fun-filled day of competition, 7 out of 14 Hornet entries advanced past two preliminary rounds to compete in the regional finals for a chance to advance to the sectionals.

Tito Ponce / Maura Carr -- 5th in Dramatic Duet Acting

Chris Thuruthiyil and Maggie Boland -- 6th in Humorous Interpretation

Page Perconti -- 6th in Humorous Interpretation

Kyle Labak -- 4th in Impromptu Speaking

Jamie Kloth -- 6th in Original Comedy

Sheinile Barranco -- 6th in Original Oratory

Diana Joseph -- 5th in Radio Speaking

Kyle Labak will compete in the IHSA Sectional competition in Impromptu Speaking.
