D181, D86 Schools to Remain Closed Tuesday

Tuesday will be the fourth weather-related off day for Hinsdale-area students this month.

------------

For the fourth time this month, Hinsdale-area public school students will get an unanticipated off day.

District 181 and District 86 schools will be closed for the second straight day Tuesday due to the extremely cold weather, according to announcements from both districts sent out Monday.

"Due to the continuing dangerous weather conditions, District 86 will not be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28," a statement from District 86 superintendent Bruce Law reads. "In addition, all district and school buildings will be closed. No transportation, before or after school activities or facility rentals will be available.

"The decision to close Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South high schools has been coordinated with the superintendents in our local feeder districts to ease the scheduling for families."
