The success of the Burr Ridge Village Center is Straub's top priority, according to his responses to Patch's 2013 candidate questionnaire.

"What is needed is improved marketing and branding of Burr Ridge and the Village Center, ... improving our working relationship with Village Center ownership, and getting/listening to resident feedback," Straub wrote.

Straub has lived in Burr Ridge for more than 25 years. He is married to Charmaine and he has an 18-year-old daughter named Alysa.

He has never served in an elected office.

Sodikoff was first elected as a trustee in 1999. He served in that capacity until last December when he took over as acting village president when Gary Grasso left the post for his seat on the DuPage County Board of Commissioners.
