Official Results for the Burr Ridge Village Board Election

The results for write-in candidates are in and Leonard Ruzak wins the final open seat on the Burr Ridge Village Board.

Official results show that write-in candidate Leonard Ruzak won the final open seat on the Burr Ridge Village Board.

Five candidates ran for three open seats on the Village board. Ruzak, Kim Wenkus and Michael Stratis ran as write-in candidates. John Manieri and incumbent Al Paveza have secured seats.

Unofficial results for write-in candidates were not available until April 19. The DuPage County Election Commission and the Cook County Clerk certified official results on Tuesday. Ballots from both counties went through a review process to ensure that voter intention for write-in candidates was propertly counted.

Ruzak, Paveza and Manieri will be sworn in at the May 9 village board meeting.
