Fundraiser Tonight for Burr Ridge Resident, Republican Candidate for State Senate

There will be a fundraiser tonight at Buca di Beppo in Orland Park for resident and Republican candidate for the 18th District State Senate Seat, Barbara Bellar.

Bellar is a former nun, licensed attorney, professor of ethics and army reserve veteran, in addition to being a medical doctor. She won the Republican Primary in March and will face Democrat Bill Cunningham in November for the seat. Cunningham is currently the 35th State House District Representative.

"Our best resource [for economic opportunity] is our Illinois citizens, the hard-working upright citizens of the 18th District. The past poor policy choices have laid an undue, unfair and irresponsible burden on these citizens," said Bellar on her campaign website. "It is time to prescribe the cure for the ill in Illinois,  by ending the fiscal mismanagement and adopting sensible spending and all-around accountability."
