Applicable experience qualifying you for the position:

Previously a member of a hospital board, served as interim treasurer of a southwest village and board member of a homeowners’ association. Also represented various trade organizations in the construction industry since 1980 to the present.

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

Belief that every citizen owes some portion of his/her time for the mutual public good.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

To improve test scores and change the image of the school district to the real estate agents’ community.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

Not applicable.

How long have you lived in District 180?

Have lived in School District 180 since 1986 and two of my children attended both District 180 schools.

What do you believe is District 180’s biggest strength?

The board and superintendent are truly in the “business” of educating children.

What do you believe is District 180’s biggest weakness?

The district boundaries are not equitably drawn so as to benefit all schools equally.

In terms of a school district, how would you describe a board that is fiscally responsible? Does District 180 currently have a fiscally responsible board?
