Five candidates, among them three sitting board members, filed nominating papers to run for the five open Community Consolidated School District 180 Board of Education seats last month, meaning they'll be unopposed on the April 9 ballot, an email from district administration said.

The portion of the ballot for District 180 school board will include the following names:

  • Eric Schroeder
  • Erin Smits Fichtelberg
  • Amanda Frankel
  • Nneka R. Obasi
  • Stanley E. Niew (2-year term)
