5 Candidates Vying for 4 Seats on Gower 62 School Board
Three of the five, including Board President Ryan Asmus, are sitting board members seeking re-election to the Gower School District 62 Board of Education in April.
Five candidates including three sitting board members filed nominating papers to run for four open Gower School District 62 Board of Education seats and will appear on the April 9 ballot, an email from district administration said.
The portion of the ballot for District 62 school board will include the following names:
- Ramona Stephens-Zemaitis
- Todd Koehler
- Ryan Asmus
- Young Ra-Hurka
- Joseph Schulte
Asmus, who is the current board president, Ra-Hurka and Schulte are the sitting board member seeking re-election. Stephens-Zemaitis and Koehler would be first-term members.

Along with those of the three incumbent candidates, the term of Jennifer Planson expires after the April election. Planson is in the middle of her first term as a District 86 board member and is not seeking re-election in District 62.
