Biker Gang vs. Little Woman: Who Got Arrested?

A young woman is charged with attempted murder after a chase with a biker gang that began in Burr Ridge, ended in Bedford Park, and led to one man's death.

A woman faces attempted murder charges after a fatal road-rage incident with 70 members of a biker gang. Chiquita Stevenson, 27, is accused of swerving her car into the DC Eagles motorcycle club at LaGrange Road and Archer Avenue in Burr Ridge and then engaging in a chase Saturday at about 2:45 p.m. that led them into Bedford Park.

One of the bikers, Joshua Deford, 23, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. He died of his injuries on Tuesday.

At times, the chase reached speeds of 80 mph, police said, until it came to an end in front of the Bedford Park Police Department. The bikers headed to the police station where Stevenson allegedly rammed into another biker, causing him to crash.

A judge this week set bail for Stevenson at $500,000. She remains in the Cook County jail. Nicholas Williams, Stevenson's boyfriend, told NBC 5 Chicago the bikers harassed Stevenson after one tried to smash her windshield and she only pursued them to get a license plate number.

Williams said his girlfriend is a small woman, just 120 pounds, and she feared for her life.

"Who in their right mind would do that?"

The bikers were in the south suburbs on a cemetery ride, called a "Rest in Peace" ride, to visit the graves of friends.
