WIllowbrook Resident Arrested for Attempted Theft at Brookhaven Marketplace

The following information was provided by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Joshua Holmes, 18, of the 500 Block of Ivy Lane in Willowbrook was arrested outside Brookhaven Marketplace at around 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 28. Store employees said he stole a bottle of liquor and ran out of store. They called the . An officer was in the area and recognized Holmes as matching the description provided by the store employees. Holmes was arrested as he was leaving the area and charged with retail theft.

Criminal damage to property

At around 4:41 p.m. on Feb. 24, a driver came back to find a crack on the windshield of the driver's car after it was parked in the parking lot of Burr Ridge Middle School on 91st Street all day.

Truck rear-ends car

At around 8:38 a.m. on Feb. 27, a crash took place near the intersection of Rt 83 and Central. A Freightliner truck rear-ended a Toyota Yaris after the Yaris stopped suddenly. No one was injured, and both parties were able to drive away
