Traffic Update: Geneva Road Re-Opened
A gas leak had caused both lanes of Geneva Road near West Chicago to close earlier this afternoon.
UPDATED: 8 p.m.
Geneva Road is now open in both directions, but one eastbound lane will be closed for a few more hours.

For any drivers heading out of the area towards unincorporated West Chicago, you might want to avoid Geneva Road. Both directions of Geneva Road between Winfield Road and Prince Crossing in unincorporated West Chicago are closed for a gas leak.
At this time it is unknown how long the roadway will be closed, but Patch will update this story when information becomes available.
