Employee Falsifies Paycheck, Silver Flatware Missing from Burr Ridge Home: Police Blotter

Burr Ridge police reports, Sept. 12-18.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 18

Flatware Missing

A complainant from the 700 block of Green Briar Court reported at 12:41 p.m. that a set of silver flatware was missing from the complainant's home. Police say it was last seen during the holiday season in 2011. 

The exact value of the missing flatware is unknown and the case is under investigation.

MONDAY, SEPT. 17

Paycheck Amount Changed

A complainant from the 100 block of Shore Drive reported at 2:11 p.m. that an employee had allegedly falsified his or her paycheck by changing the amount it was for. Police say the case is pending investigation.

Credit Card Fraud

A complainant from the 16W200 block of 83rd Street reported at 2:55 p.m. that a company credit card had been used without permission. The case is pending investigation.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 12

Social Security Number Given Out

A resident from the 100 block of Carriage Way Drive reported to police at 11:40 a.m. that the resident had given out by mistake his or her Social Security number to a caller who said he or she was calling on behalf of Medicaid.

More Check Trouble

A complainant from the 16W300 block of south Frontage Road reported at 4:24 p.m. that a fraudulent electronic check had been generated at the business, possibly by an employee. Police say the case is pending investigation.

Suspended License

Diana Maloya, 43, of the 16W500 block of Honeysuckle Rose Lane in Willowbrook, was charged with driving with a suspended license, suspended registration and no insurance during a traffic stop in the 5600 block of south County Line Road at 8:37 a.m.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 10

Two Bikers Cut Off by SUV

A verbal altercation occurred after the driver of an SUV passed two motorcyclists in a no-passing zone, and almost hit one, near the intersection of 87th and Madison streets at 1:52 p.m. 

One of the motorcycles was forced to the shoulder when the SUV returned to the right lane, and another was almost struck. The driver of the SUV was cited for violating a no-passing zone.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5

Suspended License

Stephanie Younger, 24, of the 10600 block of Hyacinth Drive in Willowbrook, was charged with driving with a suspended license, an expired registration, and no insurance, as well as improper use of registration during a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 83 and Interstate 55 at 6:03 p.m.

DUI

Roberta Doepke, 61, of the 90 block of Santa Fe Lane in Burr Ridge, was charged with DUI after she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of 91st Street and Santa Fe at 10:26 p.m., police said. According to a report, Doepke failed an ensuing breath test and was released to appear in court.
