Several Minor Traffic Accidents in Burr Ridge, Resident Arrested for DUI in Hinsdale

The following information was provided by the Burr Ridge and Hinsdale Police departments. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

At around 11:35 p.m. on Feb. 23, George M. Ward, 23, a resident of 60th Street in Burr Ridge was pulled over by Hinsdale Police near the intersection of Elm Street and 60th Street for speeding and improper lane use. At that time he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. He submitted to a breath test that determined his blood alcohol content was more than .08. He was charged and released to appear in court.

On Feb. 20 at around 6:18 p.m., were conducting a random license plate check on a vehicle near the 500 Block of Joliet Road when they discoverd that its registration was suspended. Ivan Semenenko, 22, of the 300 Block of Washington Street in Madison Wisconsin was cited for having a canceled, suspended and revoked registration.

At around 8:28 a.m. on Feb. 16, an accident near the intersection of Route 83 and Central Street sent one person to the hospital. Burr Ridge Police arrived at the scene of the crash where one car had rear-ended another. One of the drivers  complained of being injured, although did not specify how. The driver was sent to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital for an evaluation.

At around 9:37 a.m. on Feb. 15, a driver failed to yield the right of way to another driver in the parking lot of Lifetime Fitness, causing a collision. No injuries were reported.

At around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 17, a parked car in the parking lot of the Five Seasons Sports Club was hit by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.

At around 9:12 a.m. on Feb. 20, two cars collided at the intersection of Village Center Drive and Bridewell Drive. At that time a driver in a Dodge Neon stopped before making a left turn, and the driver of a Toyota Matrix could not stop quickly enough, rear-ending the Neon.
