Reyna Martinez Found Safe by Plainfield Police

The 13-year-old Plank Junior High Student had been missing since Sunday.

Reyna Martinez, a 13-year-old Boulder Hill girl, has been found, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Reyna was reported missing on Sunday morning and had last been seen at her home in the 0-100 block of Long Beach Road.

Reyna was found by the Plainfield Police Department and reunited with her family, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office in a press release Friday morning.

According to a family member, the Plank Junior High student had deleted all of her family from her Facebook account.  She has friends in Oswego, Montgomery and Plainfield, the family member said.

Friends and family left messages for Reyna on various Patch articles and Facebook posts.

“Reyna if you see this please come home. We are all worried about you. I’m your best friend I don’t want anything to happen to you. Please Reyna come home.”

“Reyna this is your mom. I love you and need you home. I need to know you are ok. We can work out whatever is wrong and you’re not in trouble. Please, please Reyna.”

“Pleaasee return home. You have a lot of people worried sick about you.”

Sorry about the typos above and forgot to mention that I thank God that she has returned home safe.

Thank God, Reyna is home and safe... still lifting the family in prayer for a strengthening of their relationship... mothers/daughters... can be a tough one... we all need prayer in raising our children... for wisdom, patience and loving discipline.

They're not forcing it on anyone. You can't make anyone not pray for you. And Tim is the one who brought this up in the first place. And again with the accusations of a bad living situation--know your facts and if she did come from that, the police are at least involved.

Sunbeam says it all. Excellent comment. That being said, I am always amazed at the hate spewed at Tim and others on this site for simply stating their opinion. His opinion, if different from others (and it is quite different), is valid and makes a point we must all consider. It is a crime in Illinois to make a false police report, pull a fire alarm as a prank or claim your child was abducted if she was not. I do not know the facts so as of now I will just be glad she is safe and with her family. Give Tim a break and let him to his opinion. Has anyone asked how much it cost in resources to find this girl and why the story was reported as it was?

Tim and Monica are just trolls. Ignore them. And they cease to exist.
