Repo Time, Fireworks Calls: Police Blotter

Burr Ridge police reports, June 5-6

THURSDAY, JUNE 13

It's That Time of the Year

Police responded to a report of someone setting off fireworks on the 8600 block of Dolfor Cv south of Stevens Park at 7:06 p.m. They also received a report nearby at 9:13 p.m. on June 11 on the 400 block of Parkview Plaza, located on the north side of Stevens Park. In both incidents the area was searched, but no one was found with fireworks.


MONDAY, JUNE 10

Criminal Damage to Property

A resident at 1:43 p.m. reported his living room window broken on the first block of Tartan Ridge. He did not suspect anyone of damaging the window and only wanted the incident documented, according to police. After speaking with neighbors and with no other leads, the case was closed.

Speeding, No License

Yazmin Ceballos, 29, of the 2800 block of South Kildare Avenue, Chicago, was cited for speeding and no valid driver's license. Ceballos was arrested at 9:48 a.m. on 79th Street at Madison after she was spotted speeding on 79th Street, police said.

SUNDAY, JUNE 9

Repo Time 

An employee of a towing company notified police at 2:47 p.m. that he was attempting to repossess a vehicle on the 500 block of Devon Drive. No criminal activity was observed.
