Rear Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen Out of Two Cars

The following information was supplied by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The rear windows of two cars parked in different Burr Ridge locations were smashed Aug. 26 and a purse was taken from each vehicle, according to police. 

The incidents were reported at 601 Burr Ridge Parkway at about 6:26 a.m. and at 6901 Madison St. at about 4:49 p.m. that day.

Wallet stolen

A wallet was stolen from a patron of the pool area at 601 Burr Ridge Parkway, Burr Ridge police learned at about 7:02 p.m. Aug. 26. Its value was less than $500.

Unauthorized withdrawals

Unauthorized withdrawals were made at the 800 block of Village Center Drive from the victim’s ATM account, police learned Aug. 25. The case is pending investigation and further information is not available, according to police.

Propane tank found

A police officer found an empty propane tank at 601 Burr Ridge Parkway at about 11 a.m. Aug. 26 and disposed of it properly, police said.

Car egged

A resident’s vehicle was egged on the 6100 block of Woodcreek Drive, police learned at about 8:51 a.m. Aug. 28.
