Police Find Marijuana During Traffic Stop

The following information was supplied by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction

A 21-year-old Plainfield man was charged with possession of cannabis and two traffic violations when stopped his car at County Line Road and the Stevenson Expressway at about 11:45 a.m. Oct. 9.

Samuel James of 23702 Dayfield Court also was ticketed for no driver’s license and no insurance.  Police did not list the amount of marijuana they found.

ComEd was called out to make repairs after a semi truck struck wires while trying to turn around at Garfield Avenue and 83rd Street at about 2:58 p.m. Oct. 9.  

Hit-and-run reported

An unidentified car struck a vehicle parked at 601 Burr Ridge Parkway and fled, Burr Ridge police learned at about 3:38 p.m. Oct. 7.

No injuries in crash

No injuries were reported or tickets issued after a car cash at County Line Road and Carriage Way at about 2:42 p.m. Oct. 9, Burr Ridge police said.

Three ticketed

Three drivers were ticketed over three days by Burr Ridge police for license-related traffic violations. Police did not release their names.

A driver was ticketed for driving with a suspended driver’s license, expired registration and no front plate when stopped at Route 83 and MidwayDrive  at about 10:16 a.m. Oct. 6.

Police ticketed a driver for having a suspended license, no insurance and a registration whom they stopped at Executive Drive and Madison Street at about 11:05 a.m. Oct. 7.

A driver stopped at County Line Road and Burr Ridge Parkway at about 11:45 p.m. Oct. 9 for not having a driver’s license.
