Chicago Teen Charged With DUI: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, DEC. 16

DUI near 72nd and Central

Steve Jacobson, 29, of the 9600 block of Merton Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road, police said. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of 72nd Street and Central Avenue at 2:59 a.m., police said.

Jacobson was released to appear in court.

DUI near Route 83 and Interstate 55

Alexis Martinez, 18, of the 6200 block of Tripp Avenue, Chicago, was charged with DUI and improper turning, police said. She appeared to be under the influence of drugs during a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 83 and I-55 at 8:53 p.m., police said.

Martinez submitted to a DUI kit, police said, and results that will show whether drugs were involved are pending. Martinez was released to appear in court.

THURSDAY, DEC. 13

Possession of cannabis, paraphernalia

Richard Popik, 20, of the 4800 block of West 98th Place, Oak Lawn, was charged with speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop near the intersection of 87th Street and County Line Road at 4:59 p.m., police said.

Passenger Matthew Alagna, 20, of the 9700 block of South 53rd Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, and passenger Gregory Blazek, 20, of the 5200 block of West 99th Street, Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The three were released to appear in court.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 12

Possession of cannabis, paraphernalia

Rebecca Mendoza, 33, of the 8300 block of Mansfield Avenue, Burbank, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop near the intersection of Fieldstone Drive and County Line Road at 5:14 p.m., police said. She was released to appear in court.
