Over $5,000 in Jewelry Taken From Home: Police Blotter

Pay Up

A former hotel guest on the 15W300 block of South Frontage Road owed a balance of $200 for staying at the hotel. After police spoke with the guest at 5:58 p.m., the bill was paid.   


Keep It Down

Someone reported people talking loudly outside at 1:42 a.m. on the 6000 block of Grant Street. Officers found two people walking to a friend’s house in the area.  They might have been talking loudly and agreed to keep their voices down out of respect for the neighbors.    

TUESDAY, JUNE 11

Missing Jewelry

Residents at 1:56 p.m. reported about six pieces of jewelry missing from their home on the 8300 block of Park Avenue. The theft was valued at over $5,000, according to police. The case is pending investigation.


Caller Claims to Be DEA Agent

A resident at 12:08 p.m. reported receiving multiple calls on the 1200 of Kenmare Drive from a person claiming to be a DEA agent. The resident thought these calls to be a scam and contacted police. Officers verified through the DEA website that it was in fact a scam and residents were instructed not to send any money or provide any personal information.

Assist State Police

A Burr Ridge officer assisted a state trooper with a traffic stop and arrest of a driver. The incident occurred at 1:05 a.m. on northbound I-55 at I-294.
