Brown, who was convicted Nov. 15 of 13 charges, including six counts of first-degree murder, was also sentenced for possession of a stolen vehicle used during the offense, according to a news release from the La Grange Park Police Department.

Brown, who was on parole at the time of the offense, has been in custody since his arrest. Police said he was stopped by an officer for erratic driving near his aunt's home.

LaGrange Park Police Chief Daniel McCollum commended LaGrange Park officers for their efforts in apprehending the dangerous criminal and the State’s Attorney’s Office for putting a "strong case together" in a statement. He also praised the Illinois State Police for their diligence in processing the crime scene for essential physical evidence.
