Mailbox Vandal May Be Missing Bumper: Police Blotter

THURSDAY, DEC. 6
Driving while suspended
Burr Ridge Police arrested Tim Burns, 26, of Midlothian, at 5:46 a.m. and charged him with driving while suspended at the intersection of Hamilton and 79th streets. Burns also faces charges of having no insurance and speeding.

Mailboxes damaged
Three residences in the 1300 block of Laurie Lane reported damage to the mailboxes in front of their homes. Burr Ridge Police said the incidents may be related and the vandalism was conducted by “unknown means.” A car bumper was found in the street in the same block. Police said they are not sure if the bumper is related to the vandalism but are continuing their investigation.
Driving while suspended
Burr Ridge Police arrested Anna Nieves, 34, of Plainfield, at 4:34 a.m. and charged her with driving while her license was suspended at the intersection of Interstate 55 and County Line Road. Nieves also was charged with improper use of registration and having no insurance.

MONDAY, DEC. 10
Road rage
Police responded to a report of a traffic altercation on South Frontage Road at 6:18 p.m. The reporting officer indicated the confrontation was verbal only and no arrests were made. The subjects were reportedly arguing about one vehicle passing the other.
TUESDAY, DEC. 11
Hit and run
Police responded to the report of a hit-and-run incident in a parking lot off South Frontage Road. A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle. There were no witnesses.
