Telephone Harrassment, Aggravated Battery
Lisle: A grand jury has indicted a Lisle man on telephone harassment and aggravated battery charges stemming from an October incident involving a high school volleyball game. John Kasik is accused of leaving threatening messages for his daughter's volleyball coach at Lisle High School, and later bumping the school's athletic director during a meeting. Kasik is free on $300,000 bail with a scheduled court appearance - at which he will likely be arraigned - on Nov. 19.

Library Board President Accused of Stealing $26,000 From Homeowners Association Pleads Guilty
Naperville: The former Naperville Library Board president charged earlier this year with stealing nearly $26,000 from an area homeowners association recently pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge. Jerome Feldott was arrested in April after an investigation into missing funds belonging to the North Edgewood Homeowners Association. In a deal with prosecutors, Feldott was sentenced to two years of conditional discharge, a less stringent form of probation, and ordered to pay $650 in court costs, court records show. Feldott has repaid the money, according to one published report.

Indictments in Meth Bust
Naperville: Two Iowa men have been indicted on drug charges in connection to what officials have called the DuPage County's largest methamphetamine bust. Edgardo Rodriguez-Sanchez and Jesus Rubio each faces single counts of meth possession with intent to deliver and meth trafficking. The men were arrested during a routine, mid-day, traffic stop near Route 59 and North Aurora Road. A search turned up nearly 20 pounds of the drug, with a street value of almost $1 million. The total amount of drugs involved mean the men face Super X felonies, which carry enhanced sentencing penalties. The men are expected to be arraigned on Nov. 19.

Sentencing in Illegal Weapon Use Case
Woodridge/St. Charles: A St. Charles man was sentenced to 180 days in jail and two years of probation after pleading guilty to unlawful use of a weapon in Woodridge earlier this year. Anthony Depasquale, 18, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of a firearm without a FOID card and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Prosecutors dropped several counts in the deal with Depasquale, who also pleaded guilty to an unrelated misdemeanor marijuana charge. Depasquale is prohibited from possessing any firearms or from having contact with gang members, records show.
