In Court This Week: Darien Triple Murder, Glen Ellyn Sexual Assault Cases

Here's a look at some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week.

Notable cases scheduled for hearings in DuPage County Court this week include those of a man accused of a 2010 triple murder, a teen accused of a Glen Ellyn sexual assault, and a former city council candidate accused of domestic violence.

Darien— returns to court June 30 for a status hearing. The last few hearings have been related to medical records for and the possibility of two separate trials in these murders, although that has been more of a Borizov angle recently.

Glen Ellyn—Former Glenbard West football player  returns to court on June 28 for another status hearing in his sexual assault case. It is possible his attorney will have filed some type of pre-trial motion, perhaps one seeking a dismissal, by then.

Naperville—, accused of stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry from a car parked at a hotel, was supposed to go to trial on June 28, but he's got a new attorney and will only be appearing for a status hearing on that day.

Naperville—Also on June 28,  of Downers Grove is scheduled for a hearing in his attempt to get a red-light ticket conviction in Naperville thrown out. Naperville attorneys say he didn't file his request for administrative (judicial) review in time and that the appeal should be tossed. Kannaby disagrees, spelling out in court filings he started this process within the allotted time last summer.
