From the Police Blotter: Domestic Battery Ends in Arrest

Burr Ridge man arrested for battery after hitting victim in the head with stock of a shotgun.

On Dec. 30 at about 7:35 p.m. police arrested Calvin D. Clausen of 7950 S. County Line Rd. after he struck a victim in the head with the stock of a shotgun. Clausen is charged with possessing a firearm without a valid Firearms Owner's Identification Card (FOID), domestic battery—bodily harm and domestic battery—physical contact. The victim was transported and admitted to Hinsdale Hospital for treatment.

A previous Patch described a new state law (HB 5832/PA 96‐1107) that went into effect Jan. 1 increasing the penalty for individuals without a valid FOID card.
