Three Car Accidents Reported on County Line Road

The following information was provided by the Burr Ridge Police Department.

Accidents involving injury

At 3:06 p.m. on April 3, responded to the scene of a traffic accident. Police say a driver hit the brake to stop near the intersection of County Line and Plainfield Roads. The driver said the car would not stop, however, and the car drove off the road to avoid hitting other cars, hit a traffic signal box, light pole and fire hydrant. The driver said both knees hurt after the accident, but refused treatment.

*At about 5:11 p.m. on April 5, a car rear-ended another car that stopped quickly near the intersection of County Line Road and 60th Street. Both drivers reported the crash. One of the drivers reported being injured, the other did not.

Non-injury accidents

At about 1:19 p.m. on April 2,  two cars were backing out of their driveways on the 8000 Block of Garfield Avenue. They did not see each other and collided in the road.

At about 7:51 p.m. on April 3, a car stopped for a flashing red traffic signal near the intersection of County Line and Plainfield Roads and was rear-ended.

At about 1:05 p.m. on April 3, a car backed into another car in the parking lot  in front of Subway at 112 Burr Ridge Parkway. The car that struck the other car started to follow it to the Burr Ridge Police station, but then drove away. Police are continuing to investigate this incident.

At about 9:15 a.m. on April 6, a driver accidentally backed into a parked car near the intersection of Dolfor Cove and Tamerton.
