Fire Damages Garage, Cars

Damages from Wednesday's fire include two cars. Causes are still unknown.

A fire that broke out Jan. 12 at a home on the 6100 block of County Line Rd. caused damage to the owner's garage and two cars, according to Deputy Chief Kevin Doyle of the Pleasantview Fire Protection District.

“Damages were confined to the garage,” said Doyle. Adding that the cause of Wednesday’s blaze is still under investigation.

Pleasantview responded to the fire around 1:45 p.m. drawing support from Hinsdale, Western Springs and Westmont fire departments and Tri-State Fire Protection District. Portions of County Line Rd. were closed-off as crew worked to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported, said Doyle.
