Father Says Adult Texting His 11-Year-Old Daughter

The following information was supplied by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction

A Burr Ridge resident told police at about 11:28 p.m. Oct. 31 that his 11-year-old daughter has been receiving text messages from a 21-year-old. No further information was available Nov. 1.

Car left running in driveway

were called at about 10:44 p.m. Oct. 31 after a resident of the 200 block of Chestnut Hills Circle left a car running in the driveway. The resident went into the house and fell asleep, forgetting about the running car, police said.

Smashing pumpkins

Kids were reported smashing pumpkins on the 8400 block of Charleston Drive at about 7:22 p.m. on Halloween Day. They left the area and no complaints were signed, police said. No dollar loss was reported.

Don’t eat here

Police were called for a trespasser at 8999 County Line Road at about 1:42 p.m. Oct. 31. An officer found someone parked and eating lunch on private property. That person left without incident, police said.
