Burr Ridge Police Investigate Multiple Thefts

These are items from the Burr Ridge police blotter.

Burr Ridge Police recovered a stolen vehicle Feb. 1.

During a follow up of an investigation of a stolen vehicle in the 16W300 block of 94th,  officers located the unoccupied vehicle on Kingery Quarter. No arrests were made, according to a police report.

In another incident of stolen property, police reported that on Feb. 5 an unspecified amount of scrap metal valued at less than $500, was stolen from the dumpster at the rear of a business at 140 Tower Drive. No arrests were made and police are investigating.

Burr Ridge Police are also searching for a suspect who stole a cash register from a business at 16W601 South Frontage Road. On Feb. 6 the unidentified subject walked into the store, grabbed the register from the counter and fled. Police used a K9 unit to track the suspect but were unsuccessful. The investigation is still pending.

Police are also looking into a complaint that a watch with a value of over $500 was stolen from a locker at Lifetime Fitness. The incident took place Feb. 1.
