Burr Ridge Police Arrest Oak Lawn Resident for Cannabis Possession

The following information was provided by the Burr Ridge Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Cannabis possession

At about 12:56 a.m. on May 27, pulled over Ibrahim Abu-Khaled, 26, of 6551 91st Street in Oak Lawn near the intersection of Route 83 and 91st Street for an equipment violation. He was subsequently charged with possession of cannabis 30 grams and under.

No Drivers License

At about 11:53 p.m. on May 27, Sergio Ponce, 31, was pulled over near the intersection of I-55 and County Line Roads. He was cited for not having a drivers license and failure to dim headlights.

Accident involving non-injury

*At about 8:59 a.m. on May 29,  a BMW rear-ended a GMC near the intersection of Madison and Andrew. The driver of the BMW was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Neighborhood complaint or trouble

At about 7:55 p.m. on May 29, a resident on the 11700 Block of Woodside Court said another car drove into his lane and then made a sharp right turn into a driveway immediately in front of him, causing him to take evasive action.  cited Thomas Hunt, Jr., 46, of the 11700 Block of Briarwood Court in Burr Ridge for failure to signal/driving in the wrong lane/and having a suspended registration.
