2 Village Center Stores Report Over $2K in Stolen Sunglasses: Police Blotter

THURSDAY, JULY 11
Stores Hit Up for $2K in Sunglasses
Several pairs of sunglasses were reported stolen from LensCrafters, 430 Village Center Dr., and Sunglass Hut, 520 Village Center Dr., at 3:21 p.m. and 3:37 p.m., respectively, according to police.
In both cases, an employee reported two subjects entering the store and taking the glasses. The value of stolen merchandise exceeded $1,000 per store, police said. Both cases are under investigation.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10
Laptop Missing
A complainant reported at 4:56 p.m. that a laptop was missing from a vehicle that had been repossessed and was located at 15W580 N. Frontage Rd., police said.

TUESDAY, JULY 9
Phone Snatched at Gym
Police said a complainant reported at 11:22 p.m. that while playing basketball at Life Time Fitness, 601 Burr Ridge Pkwy., a cell phone that he left courtside was taken.
